The set opens with his remix of Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s “Last Day,” part of Diynamic’s new remix series “Diynamic Revisited,” in which artists put a new spin on two of their labelmates’ productions. David August has been on an absolute roll lately with seemingly no shortage of exceptionally creative, top-notch works, including “Epikur,” “High Heels Breaker,” and “Set Me On,” and his revisit of “Last Day” is no exception to this delightful trend. David August’s trademark gorgeously hypnotic sound is intoxicating, as always. With slowly rolling and understated percussion, and a melancholic, repetitious melody, this beautifully moody track does justice to his recent string of artful creations as yet another mesmerizing moment to get lost in.
